Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith is pleading his case after being fined $10,000 for taunting.

Smith returned a fumble for a touchdown during Sunday's win against the Pittsburgh Steelers and pointed at Le'Veon Bell while sprinting down the sideline.

Although he will formally appeal the fine, Smith tried to make his case through the media Thursday.

"I wish I had not pointed," Smith said via ESPN's David Newton. "Give me a camera to talk to the league, too. NFL, please listen: I'm sorry. I got the fine today. I apologize. I take the point back, the taunting. I'm a great player."

Smith was named a second-team All-Pro after recording 102 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and three interceptions in 14 games.

"Y'all make sure y'all put that video up about the fine," Smith said. "Trying to get that appealed."
