According to ESPN's Jenna Laine, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department confirmed that Ward was arrested Wednesday morning, and was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ward admitted to police he "occasionally smoked" marijuana, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, citing the arrest report from Oct. 25. Ward's girlfriend was at the residence when police arrived in October and told officers at the time it was "medical marijuana."
The safety is set to become a free agent in March.
