Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera defended his decision to lead a chant for the team's owner, Jerry Richardson, amid allegations of workplace misconduct against the 81-year-old, including sexual harassment and using a racial slur toward an African-American scout.
"What I've always said is I know nothing about that. I can only speak for what he has been to me and the players," Rivera said Tuesday, according to the Charlotte Observer's Joseph Person. "And that's why I did it."
Video of the chant was posted to the Panthers' official website.

Carolina's star players have also continued to support Richardson despite the allegations.
Luke Kuechly said he hopes the Panthers can win the Super Bowl as a fitting send-off for Richardson, who put the team up for sale shortly after details of the allegations came to light.
Cam Newton also said he "didn't approve" of Richardson's decision to sell.
