Tennessee Titans running back DeMarco Murray was revealed by MRI to have a third-degree MCL tear suffered during last Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Despite the injury, Murray believes he can play in Week 17's crucial matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Titans can secure their first trip to the playoffs since 2008 with a win over the Jaguars, who have already locked up the AFC's third seed, on Sunday.
Murray has split carries with second-year back Derrick Henry this season and has rushed for more that 66 yards just once, back in Week 3. Through 15 contests in 2017, he has rushed for 659 yards and six scores while contributing 266 receiving yards and one touchdown reception.
