Players of the Week: Gurley, Gronk earn honors for dominant performances

Rob Gronkowski was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after almost single-handily destroying the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15. The New England Patriots tight end was the star of the show in the pivotal clash, catching nine passes for 168 yards. Gronkowksi was targeted four times on the Patriots' final scoring drive and successfully caught the 2-pointer to extend their lead.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters took home AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The playmaker sealed the Chiefs' vital win over the Los Angeles Chargers by intercepting Philip Rivers in the last two minutes. Peters picked off Rivers earlier in the game, too, and also forced a fumble.

Ravens punter Sam Koch dropped four of his five punts inside the Cleveland Browns' 20-yard line - one of which helped set up a key defensive score in Baltimore's victory - to earn the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award.

NFC

Todd Gurley's four-touchdown destruction of the Seattle Seahawks earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 15. The Rams' star running back had three scores on the ground and one through the air as Los Angeles produced a statement win in Seattle. Gurley finished with 152 yards on 21 carries and added 28 yards on three catches.

Lions cornerback Darius Slay lived up to his "Big Play" nickname against the Chicago Bears, picking off Mitch Trubisky twice and recording three pass defenses in a huge win for Detroit to earn NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould recorded his third straight game without a miss (with four or more attempts) in a win over the Tennessee Titans. Gould hit all six of his field-goal tries, including a 50-yarder, to win the fifth weekly award of his career and his second this year.
