Michael Bennett avoids fine for shot at opponent's knee

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Michael Bennett has avoided a fine despite picking up a personal foul for taking a shot at Jacksonville Jaguars center Brandon Linder's knee last week, the league confirmed to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

With the Jaguars in victory formation as the clock ticked down in the final minute of Sunday's game, Bennett dove at the offensive lineman's knee, a move that was part of a bigger fracas between a group of players.

Sheldon Richardson was ejected during the scrum, followed by Quinton Jefferson getting tossed one play later. Jefferson would engage with a group of fans on his way off the field, at one point attempting to climb in to the bleachers after one threw debris at his head.

The Seahawks host the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday in a massive NFC West matchup.
