Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson were involved in a dressing-room bust-up after Sunday's derby match, reports James Ducker of The Telegraph.

Mourinho allegedly had milk and water thrown at him after a verbal altercation with Ederson in Portuguese, which occurred after the United boss went to the door of the City dressing room to ask the team to show more respect as they celebrated loudly with music blaring.

Daniel Taylor of The Guardian adds that there was a bust-up in the tunnel as well, with Pep Guardiola's assistant coach, Mikel Arteta, bleeding from his face as bottles and punches were thrown. He reports that Romelu Lukaku was prominently involved, according to witnesses.

Meanwhile, Ducker reports that Mourinho and Ederson were believed to have been yelling at each other as a melee ensued, with the former eventually walking away. The Portuguese tactician later fumed that City, who defeated United 2-1 at Old Trafford on the day, were lucky and that his own side should have had a penalty.

"Manchester City are a very good team and they are protected by luck, and the gods of football are behind them," Mourinho said, as quoted by Ducker in The Telegraph.

"My first reaction is I feel sorry for referee Michael Oliver because he had a very good match but, unfortunately, he made an important mistake.

"It is like last season, exactly the same. You can speak about anything you want, you can bring any football theory, you can bring the stats, the ball possession, you can bring everything you want but, like last season, it is a huge penalty in a crucial moment of the game."
