The Philadelphia Eagles are concerned quarterback Carson Wentz suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Wentz will undergo an MRI on Monday, according to The Associated Press.

The quarterback left in the second half of the tightly contested Week 14 game. Backup Nick Foles replaced him under center to finish the game.

He remained on the field following the play that likely caused the injury and walked to the locker room under his own power. Video showed Wentz struggling to find stability in his left knee.

Wentz's day finished with 23 completions on 41 attempts for 291 yards, four touchdowns, and just one interception.

The Eagles managed to clinch the NFC East with the Week 14 win, but will likely enter the postseason with Foles at the helm of the offense.

Should Wentz be done for the remainder of the season, his sophomore campaign ends with a single-season franchise record of 33 passing touchdowns.

Foles has played in 46 games for the Eagles, St. Louis Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs, posting a completion percentage of 60.5 with 9,313 passing yards, 56 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions.

His best season came as a sophomore with the Eagles in 2013 when he was selected to the Pro Bowl after throwing 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

He started just one game with the Chiefs last season.
