The injury that sidelined Denver Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch was a sprained ankle, Pro Football Talk reports. The second-year pro will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the extent of the problem.
Lynch exited Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Oakland Raiders in the third quarter on what appeared to be a non-contact play.
He said he hopes to return next week against the Miami Dolphins, according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post.
Lynch was seen crying on the sidelines but explained, according to Jhabvala: "I was just frustrated with having another injury."
