Pick or Pass? Who to take in your survivor pool in Week 10
The Philadelphia Eagles provided the most comfortable survivor pool win of the season by hanging 51 points on the Denver Broncos last week, running the season record to 12-3.
It's rare that a first-place team would still be eligible for selection in Week 10, but last week's Eagles pick and this week's selection are pleasant surprises on the season.
Here's the Week 10 winner:
Team to pick if still alive
Los Angeles Rams
Perhaps the most shocking team of the 2017 season is the Los Angeles Rams. After years of offensive struggles under Jeff Fisher, new coach Sean McVay has transformed the NFC West club in to the highest-scoring team in the league. This week's opponent is the Houston Texans, who currently rank third in the league in scoring, but that was with Deshaun Watson leading the offense. In the Texans' first game since their star rookie tore his ACL, Tom Savage struggled to move the offense in a 20-14 home loss to the lowly Indianapolis Colts. Whether it's Savage or T.J. Yates that gets the start Sunday, the Rams are the best bet on the board this week.
Record: 12-3
Teams picked so far: Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles
Team to pick if starting over
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions took advantage of the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers on Monday to pull off a rare road win, and head home to take on the winless Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is coming off a bye but there's nothing the AFC North club has done this season to suggest an extra couple days of preparations will make a difference. Detroit is actually 1-3 at home on the season, but a matchup with the league's worst team is just what the club needs to get the job done in front of its fans.
