Pick or Pass? Who to take in your survivor pool in Week 9

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

As expected, the Minnesota Vikings had no problem handling the Cleveland Browns last week to improve these survivor pool picks to 11-3 on the campaign.

It's probably a safe bet that there aren't many people left in your survivor pool, and another strong week or two of picks will likely lead to victory.

Here's who to target this week.

Team to pick if still alive

Philadelphia Eagles

It feels weird that the team with the NFL's best record has yet to appear as the survivor pool pick, but here we are in Week 9. The Philadelphia Eagles host the Denver Broncos on Sunday, with the visiting team opting to start Brock Osweiler at quarterback. The last time the 26-year-old saw serious action was last season with the Houston Texans, throwing for 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Since the Eagles own the league's best rushing defense, it will be on Osweiler to beat them through the air. Nothing he's shown in the past two years suggests that could happen.

Record: 11-3
Teams picked so far: Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings

Team to pick if starting over

Seattle Seahawks

While the lack of a running game continues to be an issue for Seattle, Russell Wilson seems more than willing to shoulder the offensive load and lead the team. The prolific quarterback threw for a whopping 452 yards in a dramatic comeback win last weekend, and should be fine against the Redskins' pass defense. More concerning for Washington may be the state of its offensive line, as it could be without up to four starters. That's never good news, especially against a Seattle defense that will be looking to make a statement after a poor showing last week.
