Former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy has high aspirations for his mixed martial arts career.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Hardy, who's set to make his amateur MMA debut Saturday at Rise of a Warrior 21 in Fort Pierce, Fla., said he hopes to eventually compete for the UFC heavyweight title.
"I want to be the champion of everything that I can be - the world champion, the best heavyweight fighter in the world," he said. "I definitely would like to be in the UFC and be able to obtain UFC 'gold,' get the belt, and have my first opportunity to walk around with that."
The 29-year-old last played in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys in 2015.
