Watch: Golden Knights chase Coyotes goalie with 3 quick goals in home debut
The Vegas Golden Knights wasted no time giving their fans something to cheer about in the team's inaugural home game, scoring three goals in 6:15 to begin the contest.
Tomas Nosek, who was scooped up from the Red Wings in the expansion draft, notched the historic first goal.

Fresh off a moving speech to the crowd prior to the game, long time Las Vegas resident Deryk Engelland scored the game's second tally, which was only the 23rd of his 472-game career.

Just for good measure, the team's leading scorer added a third to chase Coyotes netminder Antti Raanta from the game.
