Despite Derek Carr campaigning to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, it appears the quarterback won't get his wish.
The Oakland Raiders are preparing for EJ Manuel to start under center as Carr continues to recover from a fracture in his back, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Carr was expected to miss two-to-six weeks with the ailment, though he has yet to be officially ruled out after practicing on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.
Manuel came on in relief last week against the Denver Broncos, throwing for 106 yards in a losing effort.
