NFLers tweet differing opinions about Newton's comments
After Cam Newton laughed at a reporter Wednesday because he thinks it's "funny" when women talk about football, the media took the quarterback to task for his inappropriate remarks, but his peers were more split on the subject.

Most players didn't publicly respond to Newton's remarks, but the handful who did offered an interesting glimpse into a player's point of view.
Retired receiver Roddy White apparently didn't see the problem with Newton's laughter:

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back Charles James also saw no issue with Newton's comments:

I only say that because I can't find many men that can fluently speak football, and football is billed as a "Macho" or "Manly" pastime.

Free-agent safety James Ihedigbo didn't necessarily take a stance with or against Newton, rather asking if the public reaction was merited based on how another public figure is treated:
