Beckham fined $12K for peeing-dog TD celebration
With one lift of his right leg, Odell Beckham Jr. is now just over $12,000 poorer.
The New York Giants' star receiver was hit with a $12,154 fine for pretending to be a dog peeing on the field following his first touchdown in Week 3's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
After being coy about the motive behind the celebration following the game, Beckham said Monday on Twitter that it was a retort to President Donald Trump's "son of a bitch" remark toward protesting NFL players.
Giants co-owner John Mara said Tuesday he was "very unhappy" with Beckham's celebration.
Mara and the pass-catcher met Wednesday, and Beckham said after his only regret was that the celebration was flagged, costing the Giants 15 yards.
