Cubs to send out hangover lineup against Cardinals

Jeff Curry / Reuters

The Chicago Cubs clinched their second consecutive division title on Wednesday when they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1. The win was followed by a clubhouse celebration and presumably a lot of wobbly pops.

To give their starters a breather, the Cubs will send out a lineup that doesn't feature too many regulars to take on the Cardinals once again.

Six of the game's starters - Tommy La Stella, Ian Happ, Kyle Schwarber, Victor Caratini, Taylor Davis, and Mike Freeman - played for the organization's Triple-A squad in Iowa at some point during the season.
