Report: Rodgers to undergo CT scan, could be cleared to return

Jim Matthews / Green Bay Post Gazette via USA TODAY NETWORK

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will undergo a CT scan this week on his collarbone to determine whether or not he will be medically cleared to make a return to the field, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on "NFL GameDay Morning."

Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone in Week 6 and will be eligible to come off IR after Week 14, but he has said he would only return to action this season if he is fully healthy.

He has recently resumed throwing and practicing with the team.

The Packers enter Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns at 6-6 and two games behind the Carolina Panthers for the sixth and final playoff seed in the NFC. Green Bay will likely have to win out to reach the playoffs and has targeted Week 15 for Rodgers' return.
