Watt on his performance: 'Terrible, no other way to put it'
The Houston Texans were beaten handily by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, something that didn't sit well with J.J. Watt.
"Terrible, no other way to put it," Watt told Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. "I need to play a lot better football and obviously we all need to play a lot better football."
Houston head coach Bill O'Brien pulled quarterback Tom Savage in favor of rookie Deshaun Watson, after Savage struggled mightily in the first half. Savage went 7-of-13 for only 62 yards, while being sacked six times.
Watson seemed to spark the offense somewhat, but he was only able to produce one touchdown pass and seven total points.
The Texans seem to be constantly searching for a quarterback that can help the offense complement a solid defense led by Watt. After enduring a season with Brock Osweiler behind center, Houston will be hoping Watson can put an end to those issues.
