Denver Broncos players are not happy that one of their defensive leaders could reportedly be in his last week with the team.

After Von Miller said he doesn't "see any reason" why the Broncos would trade safety T.J. Ward, linebacker Brandon Marshall made a definitive statement via Twitter about the potential move.
Letting go of TJ would b a mistake. With all the plays he's made and leadership he's brought. He deserves to at least play out his contract.

When news of trade talks first broke Tuesday, Marshall posted a few tweets expressing his stance against getting rid of the safety as well as retweeting others who shared his opinion.

Ward has played with Marshall and the Broncos since 2014, making two Pro Bowls in that time and contributing to a Super Bowl-winning defense in 2015. The 30-year-old defensive back is still a very productive player, but the team reportedly feels like he could be replaced by a younger safety at a lower price.
