Roger Federer may be a 19-time Grand Slam champion, global icon, and luxury lifestyle brand unto himself, but at heart he's still a man of the people.
Federer had a day off in New York on Wednesday, between his first- and second-round US Open matches. And instead of spending the day practicing on-site at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the 36-year-old took his talents to the courts in Central Park, much to the delight of the unsuspecting public.

Federer, who escaped the first round by the skin of his teeth, plays Mikhail Youzhny in his next match Thursday afternoon.
