Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan released a statement offering his support to the city of Houston as they face the perilous effects of Hurricane Harvey.
The storm has ravaged the city with residents fleeing out of concern for their safety.
The Texans are scheduled to host the Jaguars Week 1, but Khan isn't concerned about the location of the game for the moment.
Khan's statement read:
The Jacksonville Jaguars will support whatever scheduling decision the NFL makes. What's most important to me and everyone in Jacksonville isn't where we'll play the Texans on Week One, but that the City of Houston and its people recover quickly, safely and successfully.
The NFL has yet to release its contingency plan in the event that the Texans cannot host their opening game.
