Giancarlo Stanton has cranked 50 home runs in a season for the first time in his career.
The Miami Marlins slugger sent a two-run shot to center field off of San Diego Padres pitcher Clayton Richard in the eighth inning Sunday to reach the mark.
He's just the sixth player ever to reach 50 homers before the end of August.
Following the contest, Stanton is slashing .296/.389/.670 on the season. He's really been on another level in August, mashing 17 home runs in 27 days.
