That's what you call having a McCann-do attitude.
Only one at-bat after being plunked in the noggin by a Dellin Betances fastball - and staying in the game - Detroit Tigers catcher James McCann got his revenge. McCann crushed a solo home run off New York Yankees reliever Caleb Smith in the bottom of the eighth inning.
When the ball landed, it smacked an unfortunate young fan in the face. He just so happened to be wearing a Yankees T-shirt, though it's highly unlikely that McCann did it intentionally.
By this point, the drama-filled game had finally tilted in the Tigers' favor with McCann's homer representing the final run in Detroit's 10-6 victory.
