They just can't stop brawling in Motown.

One inning after Miguel Cabrera and Austin Romine were ejected following a nasty fight at home plate, New York Yankees reliever Dellin Betances plunked Detroit Tigers catcher James McCann in the head with a 98-mph fastball, leading to another bench-clearing incident between the two clubs.

Betances and Yankees bench coach Rob Thomson - who had been the club's acting manager - were ejected. McCann eventually got up and remained in the game.

Yankees reliever Tommy Kahnle and manager Joe Girardi were ejected in the sixth inning after the pitcher threw behind Cabrera, moments before Cabrera and Romine incited the first brawl at home plate.

After Betances was ejected the Tigers loaded the bases against his replacement David Robertson, before shortstop Jose Iglesias cleared them with a three-run double to give the home side a 9-6 lead.
