Report: Ravens' coach, GM support signing Kaepernick, but owner resisting

A lack of unity within the Baltimore Ravens could be preventing the team from adding Colin Kaepernick to its roster.

Head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Ozzie Newsome support signing Kaepernick, but owner Steve Bisciotti is resisting the idea, ESPN's Dianna Russini reports, citing sources.

Harbaugh's brother, Jim, was Kaepernick's coach with the San Francisco 49ers during Kaepernick's best years in the NFL.

Russini notes that the Ravens aren't the first NFL team whose front office wants to sign Kaepernick but has been prevented from doing so due to ownership opposition.

The Ravens have reportedly received backlash from fans who don't want the team to sign Kaepernick because of his highly publicized national anthem protests.

There are also many fans across the nation who staunchly support Kaepernick - despite being a free agent, Kaepernick ranks in the top 50 players in the NFL for merchandise sales.
