Report: Dolphins unlikely to offer Landry extension before end of season

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Dolphins have not offered wideout Jarvis Landry a contract extension and are expected to let him play out his deal, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.

Landry is due to earn a shade under $900,000 in the final year of his rookie contract.

No receiver other than Landry's college teammate Odell Beckham Jr. has more receptions across their first three NFL seasons (288), but questions remain about whether Landry is a true No. 1 receiver or merely a collector of high-percentage targets.

The Dolphins are apparently willing to wait and revisit that question after the upcoming campaign.
