Tuberville: Ole Miss needs to 'wipe out the entire administration'

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

If there was a self-destruct button on the existing athletics regime at Ole Miss, Tommy Tuberville would be pushing it as fast as he could.

Tuberville, who coached at Ole Miss from 1995-98, offered his opinion on the recent developments involving Hugh Freeze's sudden resignation Thursday, suggesting that it's time for the university to cut its losses and start over, according to John Hayes of the SEC Network.

"Wipe out the entire administration and get everything cleaned out and start over," Tuberville told Freddie and Fitz of ESPN Radio, according to Hayes.

Freeze's resignation sent shock waves through college football, as it was learned that a prolonged history of troubling personal conduct was the reason behind the decision.

Ole Miss held a press conference to make the announcement official, asserting that the decision was not related to the NCAA's ongoing investigation into a series of allegations against the university.
