Doolittle pens heartfelt goodbye to Athletics after Nationals swap

Sean Doolittle still has a lot of love left for the Oakland Athletics.
Along with teammate Ryan Madson, Doolittle was shipped to the Washington Nationals on Sunday in exchange for Blake Treinen, pitching prospect Jesus Luzardo, and infielder Sheldon Neuse. After learning of the news, Doolittle took to Twitter to thank Athletics fans, as well as the organization, which drafted the left-hander in the first round in 2007.

"I grew up in the green & gold and I appreciate everything the A's have done for me over the last 10 years," Doolittle wrote. "For the kid who fell in love with baseball (at) the Coliseum when he was 4 years old, getting drafted by the Oakland was a dream come true."
Classy move.
