Report: Beckham expected to command record-setting contract
It's unclear if the New York Giants will give in to Odell Beckham Jr.'s reported desire for a new contract - the alleged reason the receiver has been absent from OTAs - but whenever they do sit down at the negotiating table, they're expected to have to hand over an enormous contract.
Beckham - who has two years remaining on his rookie deal - should command a "huge" salary that will be record-setting for a receiver, league sources involved in negotiations told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Another source predicted the 24-year-old's extension will eclipse that of Antonio Brown, who signed a four-year, $68-million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers in February. The source estimates the contract will have an average salary in excess of $20 million per season, and a total package of more than $100 million - possibly bigger than the $113 million that former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson got in 2012.

Beckham's new deal should top the $17 million average per year Brown received, all four sources told Raanan.
If the contract does break $20 million a season, Beckham would be the first non-quarterback to push past that barrier.

Beckham has exceeded expectations after being taken 12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. He has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of his three seasons and has caught 288 passes for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdowns over that time.
