The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a two-year contract with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, the team confirmed Monday. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the story.

Maclin was believed to be contemplating offers from the Ravens and Buffalo Bills. However, ESPN's Josina Anderson reported Maclin had eliminated the Bills from the running after visiting them, and was deciding between the Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles, having spent the first six years of his career with the latter.

The veteran wide receiver was surprisingly released by the Kansas City Chiefs on June 2 after signing a five-year, $55-million contract in March 2015. Many believed Maclin's decision to sign with the Chiefs was influenced by his desire to play in his home state of Missouri.

The 29-year-old recorded 44 receptions for 536 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games with the Chiefs last year.

Maclin is now expected to bolster a Ravens receiving group that includes Mike Wallace, 2015 first-round pick Breshad Perriman, and Michael Campanaro.
