Welcome to the big leagues, Abu Danladi.
The No. 1 overall draft pick of the 2017 SuperDraft got his first goal in his first start with Minnesota United, finishing off a cross with a well-timed run into the box to give the Loons a lead over Sporting Kansas City.
The 21-year-old out of UCLA had previously made seven appearances for the Loons as a second-half substitute, but earned his first start up top against Sporting KC. It took all of 22 minutes for Danladi to find the back of the net, with Miguel Ibarra getting the assist for his cross from out wide on the left.
