Aubameyang: 'I am fully considering a move away in the summer'

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might call it a day at Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

The free-scoring striker has reportedly attracted attention from Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid in the past, and has described the latter as his "dream club." Judging from the sentiments he expressed to RMC, he could be heading to one of those outfits at the end of the season.

"This is the question I am asking myself right now. It is a particular moment. I am fully considering a move away in the summer," said Aubameyang, with translation from ESPN FC. "Obviously, I feel very good here because of the magnificent fans. It is a big club. However, I am asking myself this question - If I want to take the next step, should I not leave?

"I do not have the answer. It will take a little time. I am 27 years old. If I want to do something in order to progress, then I will do it this summer. Is it worth it or not?

"I need to see what options there are. If I will be able to play. Obviously, if I do not move, it means I will end my career here. I will take some time to reflect."

After not earning an opportunity at AC Milan, Aubameyang established himself as one of the continent's most fearsome frontmen at Saint-Etienne and Borussia Dortmund. The Gabon international has fashioned a record 16 goals in 16 Bundesliga outings this term, with his pace and intelligence habitually springing offside traps before he slides the ball home.

Unfortunately for fans in the Far East, the riches the Chinese Super League has to offer won't be luring the striker anytime soon. Dortmund teammate Adrian Ramos, currently on loan at Granada, is set to move to Chongqing Lifan in the summer.

"Going there is not an objective of mine," he stated. "Especially now. I am completely excluding this for the moment."

Although it wouldn't be his first choice, Aubameyang admitted that returning to Ligue 1 isn't out of the question - especially due to French being his first language and the Laval-born player being particularly fond of Paris - but suggested that La Liga would be his preferred choice.

"A lot of people would like to see me in England," he added. "This is not necessarily the league that attracts me the most though. It would allow me to develop further though. I really like the Spanish league and find it attractive.

"Forget Real (Madrid). There has been too much talk surrounding that. There is more to life than just Real, even if it does remain a dream of mine."
