Tom Brady wants you to buy pajamas that heal you during sleep
Crazy things are happening at the intersection of sports science and medical science.
That said, there's something about this ad for Under Armour's Athlete Recovery Sleepwear, featuring spokesman Tom Brady, that seems ... off.
Can pajamas really use far infrared energy (whatever that is) to prevent inflammation while you sleep?
Under Armour insists they can.
"We've tested it," president of innovation Kevin Haley told Time. "We've had actual third-party testing. And it's clear. Believe me, we have some of the biggest skeptics in the world running around here. This isn't some outlandish thought, this is something people have been working on for a long, long time. We've had our best PhD scientists here breaking down all the science. It definitely works. When you say 'How confident are we?' I'm confident saying we're very confident."
So, before bed, chug a bottle of Russell Wilson's infamous "Recovery Water," complete with the touted "nanobubbles," then slap these jammies on and you might become downright invincible by morning.
