The Harper siblings are one step closer to being big-league teammates.
According to the Washington Post's Chelsea Janes, the Washington Nationals have promoted left-handed reliever Bryan Harper to Triple-A Syracuse.
Bryan, 26, is the older brother of Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.
The southpaw pitcher recorded six saves for Double-A Harrisburg this season while sporting a 1.50 ERA in 20 appearances with a 0.79 WHIP. It's Harper's second stint in Triple-A after playing four games with the Syracuse Senators in 2015.
The older Harper was drafted by the Nationals in the 30th round of the 2011 MLB draft. His younger brother was drafted first overall in 2010.
