RG3: 'I'm working for perfection'
Robert Griffin III's time on the Washington Redskins' bench did nothing to sap his belief in himself, apparently.
"I'm working for perfection," Griffin told reporters at Cleveland Browns OTAs on Wednesday.
Working toward rehabilitating his career to the point where he's active on game days might be a more realistic goal for Griffin, whose stock has fallen from great heights after a tantalizing Rookie of the Year campaign in 2012.
A confident Griffin indicated he already sees himself as the Browns' starting quarterback.
"The way I look at it, it is my spot and I have to go out and defend it," the former second overall pick said.
The Browns didn't invest a premium draft pick in a quarterback, so perhaps Griffin is correct in assuming he has the inside track to start.
As for rookie passer Cody Kessler, whom the Browns drafted with their third of three picks in the third round, Griffin said he'll help mentor Kessler any way he can.
