The milestones continue to pile up for Derrick Henry, as the Alabama running back became the first player in SEC history to rush for 2,000 yards in one season during Thursday's Cotton Bowl against Michigan State.
The 2015 Heisman trophy winner entered the game with 1,986 yards on the season and topped the 2,000 mark early in the second quarter.
Henry also added to his list of milestones with a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter against the Spartans, giving the Tide a 7-0 lead. It was the 24th rushing touchdown of the season for Henry, breaking the SEC single-season record he had previously shared with Tim Tebow and Tre Mason.
