Kentucky and offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson have parted ways.
Dawson told Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports he's no longer with the program due to philosophical differences.
Quarterback Patrick Towles wasn't happy with the news, tweeting this:

Coach Dawson is one of the greatest offensive minds I've ever been around. Would love to sit in the same meeting room with him again!

It was a disappointing season for the Wildcats, who started 4-1 but finished the campaign losing six of their last seven games. The offense sputtered down the stretch, ranking 89th in the nation.
The struggles for the team have been illuminated by the emergence of Western Kentucky and Louisville in recent years, pushing the Wildcats down the pecking order in the state. A loss to Louisville clinched a losing season for Kentucky and ended its shot at a bowl.
Mark Stoops will likely have to provide a miraculous turnaround in 2016 to save his job.
