Iowa star running back Jordan Canzeri did not return to the Big Ten title game versus Michigan State after exiting late in the first quarter with an ankle injury.
Canzeri, a senior, has been Iowa's most consistent play-maker when healthy. That has been the problem, however, as the tailback missed two games earlier this season with a sprained ankle and was limited in several others.
Canzeri entered action Saturday with 974 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Hawkeyes and has averaged 5.5 yards per carry.
Akrum Wadley and LeShun Daniels Jr. got the bulk of playing time at running back in Canzeri's absence.
