Texas' Boyd appears to retweet transfer request from fan during halftime
Saturday's game against TCU could not have gone much worse for Charlie Strong and Texas. The Longhorns were embarrassed, dropping the contest 50-7.
The Texas Rangers even tweeted that Strong should be fired, though the tweet was quickly deleted and the social media staffer responsible for the tweet received the fate they wished upon Strong.
Texas players showed their displeasure too, with freshman cornerback Kris Boyd going as far as retweeting a fan's request that he transfer to rival Texas A&M during halftime. The Longhorns trailed 37-0 at the break.

Strong was asked about the incident following the game. While he didn't confirm Boyd was behind the retweet - after all, it could have been someone else using his account - he didn't deny it either.
"They should never be on their phone at halftime," Strong told reporters.
With the loss to TCU, Texas is now 1-4 on the season and 7-11 since Strong took over as head coach.
