The two high school football players who blindsided a referee in a San Antonio football game have been suspended from the team and may face criminal charges.

In the final moments of a 15-9 loss, the pair of defensive backs charged the unsuspecting referee, knocking him to the ground. Two other players were ejected on separate plays before the ref was hit.
"The first thing we want is that those two kids never play football again," Austin Football Officials Association secretary Wayne Elliott said.
