Swag Watch round up: Oregon looks cool for a cause, Maryland miss the mark

Scott Olmos / USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to Swag Watch, a weekly round up of the hottest and lamest looks in U.S. College football. Whether the team changes the entire outfit, or just acquires a new face mask, all looks are not created equal.

Hit of the week: Oregon in pink and black

Oregon wore epic black uniforms with hot pink accents in Thursday's matchup against Arizona to honor breast cancer awareness month.

While the Wildcats defeated the Ducks 31-24, Oregon's on-field swag remained untouchable.

Oregon vs. Arizona

Honorable Mention: Virginia's graphite helmets

Virginia is bucking its traditional blue home helmets to greet ACC rival Pittsburgh wearing graphite-and-black helmets on Saturday.

The carbon fiber weave pattern is a refreshing change from the new shiny chrome helmet trend that every other program seems to be following.

The Cavaliers will also wear white jerseys to contrast the new helmets along with the several pink accessories assumed to be worn Saturday in support of breast cancer awareness.

Missed it by a mile: Maryland's hand-painted helmets and all-red uniform

Maryland is bringing back their less-than-stellar, hand-painted helmets for this Saturday's game against Ohio State.

Spoiler alert: It's the Maryland flag.

The Terrapins will suit up in bright red uniforms to face the Ohio State Buckeyes, who will also be wearing red.

The entire field will look like a massacre and it will have nothing to do with game-play.
