Indiana replaced quarterback Josh Hoover with Grant Wilson to begin the second half of Saturday's game against Minnesota with the Hoosiers trailing 10-7.

Hoover completed 8 of his 19 pass attempts for 119 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the opening half.

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti said he considered pulling Hoover in the Hoosiers' 13-6 overtime win over Michigan last week but stuck with the starter even though Hoover failed to complete a pass in the second half.

Hoover appeared to be shaken up after throwing an interception with 11 seconds remaining in the first half. He remained on the ground for a few moments before walking off the field under his own power.

The fifth-year quarterback has been dealing with a shoulder injury dating back to Indiana's loss to Ohio State on Oct. 17, according to USA Today's John Leuzzi. Hoover was not listed on the Hoosiers' injury report ahead of Saturday's tilt with Minnesota.

Hoover entered Saturday having passed for 1,741 yards, 18 touchdowns, and one interception. He owned a 170.9 passer rating. The TCU transfer won the starting job in the offseason, succeeding Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza.
