Ohio State made a splash Saturday by landing a commitment from 2028 four-star quarterback Christopher Vargas.
Vargas, a Massachusetts native, is the 14th overall recruit in the 2028 class, according to ESPN Junior 300.
He's also the top-ranked pocket passer and second overall quarterback recruit, behind Georgia commit and dual-threat QB Jayden Wade.
Vargas picked Ohio State over finalists Oregon and Virginia Tech.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound passer is the second-highest-ranked 2028 recruit to join Ohio State, after top-six wide receiver Jett Harrison.
