Nebraska is preparing for the possibility that starting quarterback Dylan Raiola will enter the transfer portal, sources told CBS Sports' Chris Hummer.

Raiola is reportedly expected to explore options for his future after his brother, Dayton, decommitted from the Cornhuskers' 2026 class last week. Raiola's camp had informal conversations with other programs about a move during the previous offseason, adds Hummer.

Raiola made approximately $3.5 million this season at Nebraska but is out for the rest of the year after breaking his fibula on Nov. 1. The sophomore passer completed 72.4% of his passes for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns against six interceptions across nine appearances in 2025.

Nebraska recently put speculation about head coach Matt Rhule's future to rest by signing him to a contract extension through 2032.

The Cornhuskers are also expected to increase their NIL and revenue-share payout in 2026 and plan to spend heavily to keep key starters on the roster, according to Hummer.
