Las Vegas will host 2027 CFP National Championship
The College Football Playoff announced Friday that the 2027 national championship game will be played Jan. 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
"College football fans across the country are going to be thrilled to hear this news today," CFP executive director Rich Clark said in a statement. "Las Vegas has shown the world they have amazing venues and boundless energy to host an event like the College Football Playoff National Championship in spectacular fashion. I can't think of a better stage to crown the best team in college football in 2027."
Next year's national title game will be played Jan. 19, 2026, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
"Pairing the energy of Las Vegas with the College Football Playoff National Championship will make for a truly extraordinary event, both on and off the field," Steve Hill, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority president and CEO, said in a statement.
Las Vegas joins the Bay Area (2019) and Los Angeles (2023) as the only Pacific Time zone sites to play host to the CFP title game.
Ohio State was crowned as national champion Monday after the playoff field expanded from four to 12 teams this past season.
