Five-star wide receiver and 2024 No. 9 overall recruit Ryan Williams decommitted from Alabama following the retirement of head coach Nick Saban, he told On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Williams noted that Saban's departure played a factor in his decision, Fawcett adds.

The wide receiver was the Crimson Tide's third-highest-rated recruit from the 2024 class, only trailing cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe and quarterback Julian Sayin.

Williams initially committed to Alabama in October 2022.
