Tennessee must vacate all 11 wins from its 2019 and 2020 seasons under former football coach Jeremy Pruitt, school officials told ESPN's Chris Low.

The punishment, handed down by the NCAA, stems from recruiting issues during Pruitt's three-year tenure. On Friday, the NCAA fined the Volunteers $8 million and released a report outlining more than 200 infractions during Pruitt's stint. The report states the school committed 18 Level I violations, most of which involved recruiting infringements and direct payments to athletes and their families.

The Volunteers escaped a postseason punishment but were placed on a five-year probation. According to Low, that includes the reduction of 28 scholarships.

Tennessee originally went 8-5 in 2019 and 3-7 in 2020. The football team's official record in those years will now be 0-5 and 0-7, respectively, dropping the Volunteers' all-time record to 856-410-53. The vacated results reportedly don't grant wins to Tennessee's opponents in those games.

The Vols hired Josh Heupel as head coach in January 2021 to replace Pruitt. In the two seasons since Heupel took over, Tennessee has posted an 18-8 record.
