Former Texas quarterback Hudson Card announced Monday that he is transferring to Purdue.

Card spent the past three seasons with the Longhorns. He failed to establish himself as a full-time starter at Texas, sitting behind Casey Thompson and Quinn Ewers on the depth chart throughout most of 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Card, who started three games in place of an injured Ewers, completed 69.4% of his 108 pass attempts as a sophomore in 2022. He tossed 928 yards and six touchdowns to one interception through six total appearances.

He'll join a QB group at Purdue that just lost starter Aidan O'Connell to the 2023 NFL Draft. O'Connell passed for 3,490 yards and 22 touchdowns to help the Boilermakers finish first in the Big Ten West with an 8-5 record.
