Matt Corral's injury apparently isn't as serious as initially feared.

The Ole Miss quarterback, who was carted off during the Sugar Bowl on Saturday, has a sprained ankle, according to ESPN's Chris Low.

An MRI will determine the severity of Corral's ankle sprain, but many within the NFL don't expect the ailment to hurt his draft status, Low adds.

Corral suffered the injury in the first quarter versus Baylor. Trainers helped him off the field and into the injury tent before he headed into the locker room on a cart.

Corral opted to play Saturday despite being one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft. The junior signal-caller completed 67.7% of his passes for 3,343 yards and 20 touchdowns against five interceptions this season. He also added 614 yards and 11 scores on the ground.
